Coming from the last and delayed flight of Airphil Express from Manila to Cebu, and after we checked in at Hotel Stella where our friend Wee Dimalanta was waiting for us, we took a taxi going to Crown Regency Hotel in Cebu to do our Sky Adventure Experience. This was our first time to do this as we failed to experience this on our last visit in Cebu way back in 2009. I was up for the experience but hubbee was more excited as he’s the more adventurous type than me. It was 11:00 pm already at that time.

Crown Regency Hotel in Cebu is the tallest hotel tower in the Philippines that boasts the ultimate escapade that visitors from all over the world can revel in – the different level of excitement in the Sky Experience Adventure. This is the first in the Philippines. Aside from their luxurious and cozy rooms of this hotel, you can also thrill to their sky rides and attractions at the world’s first Edge Coaster, Paramount Climbing, Zipline, the country’s first and only Sky Walk Extreme, or transport yourself to a world of surprise at their 4D theater.

Tickets are sold at the 19th floor of Tower 1. Entrance Fee is P250.00/pax with free Ref Magnet or Photo Magnet. You can go the Sky Adventure Experience area even if you don’t want to take any of the rides, just pay the entrance fee. If you want to experience the Edge Coaster only, or the Sky Walk only, it will cost you P550.00 which includes the entrance fee plus souvenir which I and Wee paid for ourselves. But if you want to experience both rides like hubbee did, it will cost you P750.00 and it includes the entrance and souvenir as well.

Once you’re done, you will need to go up to 38th floor for the Edge Coaster ride. Their staff will assist you in preparing for your ride once you present your ticket. This is where the Sky Observatory is located too where you can see coin-operated telescopes and binoculars for a glimpse of the breathtaking view of the city and the radiant nightscape. It’s really the best time to do this at night. The view was just spectacular!

The Edge Coaster moves around the edge of the building and tilts initially at 30 degrees. It can even be tilted up to 55 degrees which hubbee did. According to him, it feels like your hanging at the edge of the building and will fall as you tilt higher. It takes about 4 minutes only to go around the outer rim of the tower. I suggest that if you like this kind of ride, don’t be too quick to finish it and just enjoy it since you control the movement of the ride.

After hubbee’s ride and us taking pictures with spectacular view as our background, we went down to 37th floor to do our Sky Walk Extreme experience. You need to register first your complete name that will be used for your certificate and you need to sign a safety agreement before you take the ride. Then, cameras, jewelries, watch and your own shoes will have to be kept in a safety deposit box that they will provide.

Ride includes an orange jumpsuit and white shoes which will be provided once you enter and present your ticket. I encourage those who will try this ride to bring your own socks. They require socks and shoes for the walk. If you don’t have one, they sell socks for a minimum price. So for you to avoid having additional expenses, bring one or wear shoes and socks when going there.

The Sky Walk Extreme lets thrill-seekers walk around the edge of the building in which the platform where Sky walkers would step on looked intimidating. Our funny and witty guide gave us a little briefing on safety and an added encouragement before we started. When we finally stepped out on the platform and began our walk, we were instantly seized with a little, just a little sense of panic. Our guide humored us during our first few steps and very efficiently distracted the moment of agitation by pointing out the breathtaking view that was set before us.

Our jaws dropped at the magnificent scenery. We could see not just the whole of Cebu but even its neighboring islands and beyond. If you want something as far as your eyes could see, the Sky Walk Extreme will surely make it happen. We got too busy taking in the experience that we absolutely forgot about our fear. The adventure stroll turned out to be both comforting and exciting.

The walk around the building usually takes around 15 minutes to finish, including the stunts like sitting on the edge of the platform but our guide allowed us to stay and enjoy the view for 30 minutes. It became our hang out area on a saturday night in Cebu. Our guide was not only accommodating and very funny but shared good information around Cebu and personal stories too. You should look for him if you’ll try this.

The Sky Adventure Experience is a must for those who will visit Cebu City. They are open from 2:00 pm to 12:00 midnight from Mondays to Fridays, while it opens at 10:00 am during weekends and closes at 2:00 am. Pictures of your Sky Walk Extreme will be provided by them and will cost for a fee. And after the exciting walk, you will get your certificate before your leave as a proof of your accomplishment. We’re happy we’ve experienced this!!!
